Dr. Abhishek Kasana M.D, Indian Homeopath advice for Acidity: It Works
Too acidic? Then you are in trouble as your body's acidity determines how good you feel. There are two types of acid. You need to know which one is bothering you because it determines if the antacid diet will help you and whether you need stronger therapy. By Dr. Abhishek Kasana M.D Aura Homeopathy India.
Body acidity is a very complex concept. It's not as simple as making your food directly acidic. And yet, you can correct acid with a antacid diet… or make it worse.
Body acid can be a sign of serious life-threatening conditions, such as keto acidosis if you are diabetic.
We have put everything together for you, so you can work out what applies to you and know what works best for you.
You have TWO acid zones
The pH of a substance refers to how acidic or alkaline it is. a pH of seven is neutral, a pH above seven is alkaline, while everything below seven is acidic. The further the pH is from 7, the stronger the acid or alkali. An acid with a pH of 3 is therefore much stronger than an acid with a pH of 6. Similarly, an alkali with a pH of 9 is much stronger than an alkali with a pH of 7.5. To give you some perspective: the pH of pure lime juice is 3.5, while the pH of plain water is around 7.
Your body also has a pH - actually several. The pH inside your stomach is by far the lowest, from 1.5 to 3.5 - which is very strong acid. However, the pH of the rest of your digestive tract such as your mouth, esophagus and intestinal tract is between 5 and just under seven, and is therefore only slightly acidic. However, the pH of your ileum (just before your colon) is alkaline, at 8. The pH of your blood and the rest of your body is only slightly alkaline, namely 7.3 to 7.4.
Just look at how many different pHs you have:
pH values for the different parts of your digestive tract:
Your saliva 6,4 Slightly sour
Your stomach 1,5 – 3,5 Strongly acidic
Your small intestine 5,5 Slightly sour
Your colon 7-8 Slightly alkaline
Values for the pH of the rest of your body:
Your blood 7,3 Slightly alkaline
Your liver 6.9 Hardly neutral
Your brain 7.2 Slightly alkaline
Urine 5.8 Pretty acidic
Vagina before menopause 4.5 Pretty acidic
Vagina after menopause 7.0 Neutral
Semen 7.2 Net-net alkalies
So: pH in your body is not the same everywhere.
LIST OF ALKALINE AND ACID FOODS
Another thing you can conclude from the two tables is that you broadly have two pH zones: your acidic digestive tract and the rest of your body that is 'serviced' by your blood and therefore predominantly slightly alkaline. The two systems work optimally if their different pH's remain constant. An ingenious system of buffers keeps it that way ... until things go wrong. It is then that you feel bad, struggle with heartburn, bladder infection and complain of fatigue. These problems can also have other causes, of which a disturbance in your body's pH balance is just one.
Something to remember: the two systems work separately. You may have too much stomach acid (and heartburn) while your body's pH is still alkaline. The opposite is also true: Your body may be too acidic, while your digestive system's pH is completely normal. Solutions that work for one may not work for the other.
If you are referring to acidity, do not feather the two systems. If you want to improve your body acidity you must be able to distinguish well between the two. So you can actually mean: excessive acidity of the body; or acid in the digestive tract.

1. Acidity of the body
Your body has a very robust pH balance. The zone for normal (7.3 - 7.4) is small but your buffer system manages it very efficiently. The following diseases and conditions, however, overthrow it. Each is a serious medical condition. You should get medical treatment rather than just look at what you can do at home.
Causes of acid in the body
- Diabetes, where your insulin does not work well. You smell it as nail polish on the breath
- Fasting, any very low-calorie diet and the low-carb diet. When you burn body fat, a condition called acidosis occurs. You know someone has acidosis if his breath smells a little like acetone. In diabetics it can be fatal
- alcohol abuse
- Very hard exercise. It causes lactic acid in your muscles, which you experience as sore muscles
- Abuse of diuretics
- Potassium Deficiency (Causes include too little potassium and magnesium in your diet, diarrhea, excessive sweating and even medication, and especially some blood pressure medications. Some people do not easily take potassium or excrete potassium excessively.)
- Poor and shallow breathing(Hypoventilation)
- Kidney disease- Renal failure
- Baking soda (Intake or build up of too much bicarbonate)
- Body acid advice
You can't really eat it "right," explains Indian Homeopath Dr.Abhishek, if you follow the correct diet, you can feel much better. .
“The role of food is very indirect. You can boost your potassium by eating a banana every day but it is not going to correct your blood pressure so that you do not need to take blood pressure medication. It is also not going to take away the lactic acid in your muscles and within hours, your aching muscles will go away, and so on.
“Some of the conditions associated with acid, such as kidney failure, are life-threatening and need to be treated medically. Apart from medical help, you will be placed on a very specific kidney diet for kidney failure. It has to do with the amount of protein in your diet rather than with foods that cause acid.
"So every condition that causes body acid is treated separately."
What about food for body acid?
Can you eat slightly differently and stop such body acidity? Is there something like an anti-acid diet? Which foods stop body acidity? And more importantly: what foods cause body acidity?
"Definitely. This will help counteract excessive acid in the digestive tract. But remember that it usually does not solve body acid problems, as explained at the beginning of the article.
You will also see on the list below that some foods that clearly taste acidic, such as lemon juice, can reduce your digestive acidity. It sounds strange but remember, your stomach juices are pretty strong acid. Food and even sour food have little effect on it. It's actually about the breakdown products that leave food after your digestive juices are done with it.
Here is a list of foods that reduce, aggravate acidity or have little effect on acidity . Best Antacid Food. But to truly understand body acidity, you also need to understand your body's buffer system: it is based on carbonates, which bind to potassium, magnesium and calcium, for the buffer action.
Mineral supplements like Homeopathy medicine Nat. Mur 6x and foods rich in minerals support your buffer system and can therefore help keep your body slightly alkaline.
2. Acid in the digestive tract
Your digestive tract is acidic for good reason. The acids help break down your food. Presumably it also protects you from unwelcome bacteria, which are destroyed by the reasonably strong acidity. Even if your digestive tract is quite acidic, even it can get too acidic, explains explains Indian Homeopath Dr. Abhishek (Aura Homeopathy India)

- Gastrointestinal acid advice

- First, see what you drink. Many people simply drink too much coffee, cold drinks and / or wine. Start with alcohol: Do you really need a glass of wine or a beer and fizzy drink every day, if it makes you feel so bad?
- Replace all or some with rooibos tea because it is caffeine free. It can also help start your day with a glass of water with a good splash of lemon or ginger tea.
- Do you smoke and often have heartburn, GERD or pain in your stomach? Then smoking causes you acid. The best advice is to quit smoking.
- Unfortunately, stress is part of our lives. Fortunately, most of us can handle it well or at least better. The five basic secrets of coping with stress are to make sure
- You sleep enough,
- You eat healthy,
- Exercise so hard for at least three hours a week,
- Balance your workload with nice relaxation, and
- You work on your mood and human relationships.
I don't want to elaborate on H. pylori . A good homeopathy doctor will diagnose it and treat it with diet and natural homeopathy medicine.
What about the antacid diet? Is it the right advice for acid in the digestive tract?
“Fats, starches and sugars are broken down in the stomach by acid. Think of a bakery productslike pastries, cookies, koeksister: it is made from flour (starch), fried in cooking oil (fat) and then soaked in sugar syrup (sugar). So this one bite contributes to extra acid in three ways."
“And so are most other pastries - cake, rusks, bread in all its forms. Besides flour, it contains quite a lot of sugar, jam or icing sugar and fats in the form of butter or oil. So for many people this is the main reason for acidity. But people differ, so you need to test what gives you heartburn. For example, some people can eat white bread but not brown bread. "
